Job Opening: Assistant Rural Carrier (ARC) at United States Postal Service

Position Details:

• Scheduled Days: Saturday, Sunday, and observed holidays. During onboarding, training is on weekdays.
• Hours: Varies
• Driving Requirement: Valid state driver’s license, safe driving record, and at least two years of unsupervised driving experience. Personal vehicle may be required.

Employment is conditional upon meeting medical, eligibility, and background check requirements. Salary is $20.38 per hour, paid bi-weekly.

Functional Purpose

Deliver packages and mail along rural routes, including Sundays and holidays, using a vehicle. May also involve casing, collecting, and managing accountable mail.

Responsibilities

1. Load packages in delivery sequence.
2. Deliver packages and mail to customers.
3. Sort mail for the route.
4. Sign for accountable mail.
5. Collect monies and receipts for accountable mail.
6. Provide postal information to customers.
7. Ensure mail security and proper record-keeping.

Note: Candidates may need to provide a suitable vehicle if not provided by the employer. Work is outdoors in all weather conditions, with physical tasks involving up to 70 pounds.
