Are you ready to step into a key leadership role and drive meaningful improvements in rail operations? As an Assistant Roadmaster, you’ll be charged with ensuring the safety, reliability, and optimal condition of track infrastructure throughout the Shreveport Yard. Collaborating with the Roadmaster, you’ll deliver innovative, cost‑efficient engineering solutions while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory guidelines. Your expertise will be vital in sustaining a safe, high‑performing rail network that enables smooth, uninterrupted train service and preserves our infrastructure integrity. You will consistently uphold all Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) standards, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to safety and excellence.
This is a safety‑sensitive position and a successful pre‑employment medical assessment including physical, vision, hearing, and a negative company or regulated drug test is required. Post‑hire qualification drug testing may also be required.

Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
