Job summary

Lockton in Denver seeks an Assistant Risk Manager to support the Outsourced Risk Manager (ORM) and help implement risk management strategies. You will create and maintain client data, manage workflows, and provide top-tier administrative and client support to the team and clients.

The role requires 5–6 years in insurance, ARM or related certification, strong communication, and MS Office proficiency. Occasional travel may be needed.

  • Coordinate with ORM and client teams to ensure accurate information.
  • Ensure compliance with Lockton's policies and procedures.

Your Responsibilities

The Assistant Risk Manager provides administrative / system(s) support and best in class service to Outsourced Risk Manager (ORM). They will support the development and implementation of risk management strategies. Their primary role is to apply knowledge of current industry trends, create / maintain client data in files and systems, manage workflows and processes while providing administrative and client support to both the team and the clients themselves. They should follow policies and procedures to make the overall practice more efficient and effective.

Your Responsibilities

The Assistant Risk Manager provides administrative / system(s) support and best in class service to Outsourced Risk Manager (ORM). They will support the development and implementation of risk management strategies. Their primary role is to apply knowledge of current industry trends, create / maintain client data in files and systems, manage workflows and processes while providing administrative and client support to both the team and the clients themselves. They should follow policies and procedures to make the overall practice more efficient and effective.

Position Responsibilities
  • Ability to create client exposure data models, collect, track, and manage client data
  • Assist with client renewal processes
  • Creating processes and procedures for clients as necessary.
  • Identifying potential risk hazards for clients
  • Ensures accuracy of Client Profile Information in real time throughout the policy period
  • Collaborate with and supports internal account teams
  • Manage and file all client/ carrier/ internal correspondence and review/decide appropriate action at the direction of the team
  • Provides placement support to ORM
  • Assists in claims reporting and subsequent tracking, including related correspondence
  • Support client through the claims and remediation process where needed
  • Coordination of endorsement process and delivery with account team
  • Track billing and delivery of client invoices
  • Oversees allocation process
  • Leads and manages projects / project changes as assigned by ORM
  • Tracks project deliverables to meet set deadlines
  • Monitors and reports on progress of projects to all stakeholders
  • Coordinates with clients and ORM to ensure project delivery
  • Make a positive contribution to customer satisfaction and continuously strive to improve service to the customer
  • Comply with Lockton's policies and procedures, including appropriate documentation
  • Attend education workshops, and carrier functions, when requested
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • 5-6 years of experience in the insurance industry
  • ARM certification or some other Risk Management certification or degree.
  • General understanding of basic commercial property and casualty coverages required
  • General understanding of insurance language in both contracts and policies
  • Company or agency experience in commercial insurance services required
  • Must have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, project team members, and associates at all levels of responsibility, representing Lockton in the highest professional manner
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • High aptitude for accuracy in mathematical calculations
  • Strong attention to detail required
  • Understands industry trends and governmental regulations
  • Readiness to expand knowledge and effectiveness in the insurance industry by successful completion of extended insurance education beyond continuing education requirements as needed
  • Organizational and time management skills to prioritize heavy workloads to meet time-sensitive deadlines
  • Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting the confidentiality of client and company information
  • Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft and be away from home more than one day and night
  • Legally able to work in the United States
