Job summary

Lockton in Minneapolis, MN seeks an experienced Client Services professional to maintain and grow relationships with existing Clients. You will provide strategic planning, consulting on investment options, and coordination of RFP responses, while regularly reviewing claims and utilization with Clients.

The role requires 7+ years in Client services, strong communication skills, and deep knowledge of the brokerage industry.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience
  • Typically more than 7 years of Client services experience
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Brokerage industry knowledge and regulatory awareness
  • Ability to complete continuing education requirements
  • Attendance at meetings and industry training sessions
  • Confidential handling of client and company information
  • Efficient organization and time management to meet deadlines
  • Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft
  • Proficiency with basic office equipment and prolonged computer use
  • Availability to work outside of normal business hours
  • Legally able to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and enhances Lockton’s relationships with existing Clients
  • Proactively understands Client account requirements
  • Provide strategic planning and consulting, including RFPs and vendor responses
  • Consults with Clients on investment options, services, fees, strategies
  • Reviews large claims and monthly experience with Clients
  • Supports revenue goals for existing and new business
  • Develops policies and procedures and supports strategic plans
  • Maintains relationships with carriers and service networks
  • Oversees issue-resolution between Client and Vendor
  • Coordinates market selection for new and renewal business

Job description

  • Maintains and enhances Lockton’s relationships with existing Clients by executing proactive, creative, and on-going contact initiatives
  • Proactively understands the requirements and needs of a Client account
  • Provide strategic planning and consulting advice to clients including the production of Requests for Proposal, coordination of vendor responses, analysis and comparison of RFP responses, and preparation of a client report with recommendations
  • Consults with Clients to review investment options, bender services, fees, strategies and goals
  • Consults regularly with Clients to review large claims, abnormal utilization results, and monthly claims experience
  • Reviews and issues profitability assists on all “fee-at-risk” proposals
  • Assists in the establishment and attainment of revenue goals for existing and new business
  • Provides input in the development and implementation of policies and procedures, as well and operating and strategic plans within area of specialty
  • Develops and maintains dependable working relationships with carriers, broker servicing networks, and other providers
  • Oversees issue-resolution between Client and the Vendor
  • Coordinates market selection for new and renewal business on designated accounts
  • Initiates and duplicates new business report activities
  • Generates new business opportunities through cross-selling
  • Negotiates program terms and costs
  • May help coordinate the day-to-day administrative activities among those servicing the Client’s account including the coordination of all support services such as claims and loss control
  • Provides information, concepts, techniques, and programs to department Associates to improve and enhance working knowledge
  • Mentors and trains junior-level staff
  • Researches and understands industry trends, product development government regulations
  • Performs other responsibilities and duties as needed
