About the Role:
As an Assistant Retail Store Manager, you’ll be responsible for helping to oversee the daily operations of our boutique, ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction, and supporting the General Manager in achieving sales goals. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll inspire and lead by example, while also playing an active role in customer service, merchandising, and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Customer Experience: Lead by example to deliver exceptional customer service, assisting with product knowledge, wine pairings, floral selections, and gourmet food recommendations.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor part-time and full-time sales associates, ensuring all staff are up to date on product offerings and store policies.
• Operations Support: Assist in managing store operations, including opening/closing, inventory control, and visual merchandising.
• Sales Management: Collaborate with the Store Manager to meet sales targets, track sales data, and implement strategies to increase revenue.
• Store Presentation: Ensure the store remains visually appealing, well-stocked, and organized, including floral arrangements, wine displays, and gourmet product sections.
• Problem-Solving: Handle customer inquiries, concerns, or complaints with professionalism and a positive attitude.
Qualifications:
• 2+ years of retail experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role (luxury retail or hospitality experience is a plus)
• Strong passion for florals, fine wine, and gourmet food
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Experience with POS systems and basic administrative tasks (scheduling, inventory, etc.)
• Weekend and holiday availability required
