Job summary

Shoeteria in La Puente, CA is hiring an Assistant Retail Operations Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. This full-time role requires availability nights and weekends, with compensation of USD 16.00–16.50 per hour plus commissions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of retail experience preferred.
• Previous assistant management or leadership experience is a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license required; bilingual skills are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Help supervise store staff and support employee training activities.
• Work alternating shifts with the Store Manager to support daily operations.
• Complete additional responsibilities as assigned by store leadership.
• Perform store opening and closing procedures.
• Prepare and manage daily bank deposits, including bank drop-offs.
• Obtain change for store operations when needed.
• Receive, organize, and process incoming merchandise shipments.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional store environment.
• Process customer purchases accurately in accordance with company procedures.
• Welcome customers, answer incoming calls, and provide assistance as needed.
• Support customers in locating products and making purchasing decisions.
