Job summary

Fleet Feet in West Lafayette, IN is seeking a hands-on Assistant Retail Experience Manager to shape store culture, support daily operations, and deliver a world-class customer journey. You’ll work with the Operating Partner to lead Outfitters, energize the sales floor, and develop the team through coaching, scheduling, and daily direction.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of retail leadership in a customer-facing environment.
• Ability to coach, develop and motivate a team on the sales floor.
• Experience with scheduling, inventory, and floor management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support recruiting, onboarding, and development of Outfitters to ensure excellent service and sales.
• Lead on the sales floor delivering the Fleet Feet Outfitting Experience with energy and care.
• Act as a shift leader, directing floor operations and real-time coaching.

Overview

As an Assistant Retail Experience Manager at Fleet Feet, you’ll play a key leadership role in shaping store culture, supporting daily operations, and delivering a consistent, world-class retail experience. You’ll work closely with the Operating Partner to help lead the team, energize the sales floor, and support the growth and development of our Outfitters (Retail Sales Associates).

This hands-on role focuses on creating an exceptional customer journey while empowering team performance through coaching, scheduling, and daily direction. What You'll Do

• Support the recruiting, onboarding, and development of Outfitters to ensure excellence in service and sales

What We're Looking For

• At least 1 year of retail leadership experience in a customer-facing environment


• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays


• Demonstrated ability to deliver an outstanding customer experience


• Leadership skills in coaching, team motivation, delegation, and conflict resolution


• Proven experience with retail operations such as scheduling, inventory, and floor management


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
