Manage cash, employee attendance, revenue assurance and opening/closing of the store. Ensure a safe, clean, and interesting store lay-out and merchandising. Help customers find the best products to suit their individual needs and ensure efficient, courteous handling of customer request.* Drives sales success by implementing strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, and increase profitability* Assist Retail Manager with product evaluation. Provide input and assist Retail Manager in purchasing and planning decisions* Assist Retail Manager with employee training, development and motivation* Educate customers on products and services* Assist with in-store merchandising* Order, receive, and maintain inventory* Open and/or close the store as needed* Ensure completion of daily and weekly tasks for the gift shop and sales associates* Responsible for managing the Gift shop in the absence of the Retail Manager* Maintain retail stock inventories between the warehouse, main building, and other applicable areas* Work directly with accounting department to provide cash accountability* Perform other duties as appropriate and as assignedWHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED FOR THIS JOB?* Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor; ability to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff, affiliated-company employees, and outside business associates* Excellent communication and customer service skills* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as a team environment* Strong organizational and follow-up skills and be detail oriented* Ability to make decisions, solve problems and exercise good judgment; ability to work under pressure and prioritize workload* Ability to accurately use industry-standard computer software and learn inventory systems software* Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed* Ability to quickly and thoroughly learn products and services specific to the Company and quickly* Must be able to push, pull, carry, and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, and greater weights on an occasional basis* Must be able to maintain balance on unsteady or uneven surfaces, ladders, and to negotiate stairs on an occasional basis* Must possess sufficient fine and gross motor skills to operate computers and other equipment as required* High School Diploma or equivalent combination of experience**About Us:**We're more than a hospitality and attractions company.
