Pyramid Global Hospitality's South Seas Beach House is seeking an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join the leadership team on Captiva Island, Florida. The role focuses on hands-on leadership, ensuring impeccable guest service, smooth operations, and adherence to Beach House and South Seas service standards.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of management experience in high-volume settings, strong English communication, and proficiency with POS, inventory systems, and MS Office.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of restaurant management or supervisory experience.
  • 2+ years of hiring and developing talent.
  • QSR and Outdoor Dining experience is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in English.
  • Proficient in POS systems, inventory management systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Restaurant General Manager with daily Beach House operations.
  • Provide visible leadership to front-of-house team during shifts.
  • Ensure consistent service standards and guest experience.
  • Lead pre-shift meetings and communicate priorities and standards.
  • Monitor service flow and adjust staffing as needed.
  • Engage with guests and address questions or concerns.
  • Assist with scheduling, payroll, and labor cost control.
  • Coordinate with culinary leadership for front- and back-of-house alignment.
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards.
  • Support inventory management and supply levels.

Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, this position assists with the day-to-day operation of the restaurant while ensuring exceptional guest service, efficient operations, and consistent execution of Beach House and South Seas service standards.The Assistant Restaurant Manager is a hands-on leader who maintains a strong presence on the restaurant floor, supports and develops the front-of-house team, and ensures each shift runs smoothly and efficiently. This position assists with staffing, scheduling, training, labor management, guest satisfaction, service execution, and overall restaurant performance.The ideal candidate is an energetic hospitality professional with strong restaurant operations experience, a passion for guest service, and the ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced resort environment.Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesAssist the Restaurant General Manager with the daily operations of Beach House.Provide visible, hands-on leadership to front-of-house team members throughout each shift.Ensure consistent execution of restaurant service standards and an exceptional guest experience.Lead pre-shift meetings and communicate daily priorities, menu updates, service expectations, reservations, and operational needs.Monitor the flow of service and make adjustments to staffing and assignments as necessary.Engage with guests throughout service and promptly address questions, feedback, and concerns.Assist with employee scheduling and daily staffing to ensure appropriate coverage while effectively managing labor.Monitor payroll, overtime, and labor costs in accordance with established goals.Support restaurant revenue, profitability, productivity, and cost-control objectives.Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, timing, and overall service execution.Partner closely with culinary leadership to ensure strong communication and coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house operations.Maintain restaurant cleanliness, organization, appearance, and sanitation standards.Assist with inventory management and ensure appropriate levels of restaurant operating supplies.Ensure opening, closing, side-work, cash-handling, and other operational procedures are completed accurately and consistently.Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, responsible alcohol service, and applicable health and safety requirements.Ensure required team member training are we looking for?QualificationsPrevious restaurant management or supervisory experience required.Previous experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant, resort, or hotel environment strongly preferred.Strong knowledge of front-of-house restaurant operations and service standards.Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, motivate, and develop restaurant team members.Strong guest service and problem-solving skills.Working knowledge of scheduling, labor management, payroll, productivity, and restaurant cost controls.Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service requirements.Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Ability to remain composed and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work effectively with both front-of-house and culinary teams.Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.POSITION REQUIREMENTSMust possess 2+ years
