The Nitty-Gritty

What exactly you will be doing…

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and track the flow of information from your superiors, hotel side, and culinary side, and distribute to your team. Be involved in decisions and communication on the floor and share results with team members and superiors. Manage communication between guests and all involved areas: special requests, needs to the kitchen, service issues, and guest recovery. Clearly communicate expectations each shift and remain consistent.
  • Be present on the floor to understand guest interactions. Detail and confirm guest profiles, communicate with FOH and BOH, handle guest issues confidently, and actively engage with guests and staff.
  • Keep your team on track, energized, and focused. Maintain standards and service quality. Provide clear and concise direction.
  • Maintain strong floor presence.
  • Communicate food issues, VIPs, reservations, and business changes to kitchen, outlets, and front desk.
  • Communicate with colleagues about guest expectations, menu changes, and events via team meetings and recaps.
  • Handle daily tasks such as scheduling, staffing, driving revenue, monitoring duties, and ensuring standards are met.
  • Assist in onboarding, deliver consistent training, conduct regular check-ins, and ensure new team members are properly equipped.

Required Background
  • Legal and unrestricted ability to work in the USA.
  • TIPS certification and Food Handlers Cards on file.
  • Compliance with safety, health, and liquor laws.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in restaurant or lounge management, preferably in a hotel setting.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in computer skills.
