Job summary

SSP America is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to lead operations at the Dane County Regional Airport. You will supervise team members, drive guest service excellence and manage inventory, payroll, and scheduling in a fast-paced airport environment.

The role offers $55,000–$60,000 annually with bonus potential and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life, PTO and 401K match. Growth opportunities exist within one of the world’s largest airport operators.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in the restaurant industry in a management/supervisory capacity.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Proficient MS Office and POS system skills; strong organizational ability.
• Able to interact with executives and diverse hourly team members.

Responsibilities

• Manage restaurant operations and customer service; supervise team performance.
• Recruit, train and schedule team; uphold service standards and brand specs.
• Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
• Maintain brand standards, displays, and signing; monitor inventory.
• Handle receiving, inventory, purchasing, scheduling and payroll.
• Assist in sales analysis and budgeting; monitor performance.
• Address routine issues and escalate complex problems.

We have an exciting opportunity for an

Assistant Restaurant Manager

within the Dane County Regional Airport (MSN).

What You’ll Do:

Manage All Restaurant and Customer Service Activities:

Manage, supervise and evaluate Team Member performance through follow-up to ensure proper completion of assigned tasks and goals and provides feedback including disciplinary action.

Lead and Develop Team:

Recruit, train, and communicate with team of Food Travel Experts. Develop, plan and assign daily goals, tasks and Team Member assignments. Implement and maintain guest service standards and brand specifications fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Systems and Processes:

Maintains adherence to all company policies and procedure.

Merchandising and Displays:

Maintain all brand standards, display presentations and signing standards and monitor inventory levels.

Office Management:

Handle tasks such as management of receiving, inventory, purchasing, team member scheduling and payroll.

Forecasting and Budgeting:

Assist in monitoring sales performance through the analysis of sales reports.

Problem Solving:

Address routine issues and elevate complex problems to higher management as necessary.

What We’re Looking For:

Educational Background:

High School Diploma or equivalent, associate’s degree or equivalent coursework preferred.

Experience:

2+ years in the restaurant industry in a management/supervisory capacity.

Technical Skills:

Proficient level of computer literacy, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and Point-of-Sale (POS) systems. Effective organizational maturity to prioritize daily, weekly, monthly and yearly activities.

Interpersonal Skills:

Ability to interact at all levels, including with executives, union representatives, and diverse hourly team members. Proven track record of resolving uncomfortable situations with clients, customers, peers and direct reports.
