Position Summary

Responsible for managing restaurant operations, in conjunction with or in the absence of the Restaurant Manager. Uses discretion in daily management decisions with accountability to ensure effective execution of the Service Profit Chain (SPC), and Brand Promise. Primary responsibilities include providing excellent internal and external service, building sales, and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Key Duties / Responsibilities

1. Internal Service: Recruits, trains, develops, and evaluates restaurant employees. Monitors staffing levels; ensures training systems are fully implemented; develops internal candidates for management roles; fosters a positive environment; motivates staff; understands and uses JIB systems and tools.
2. External Service: Ensures guests receive an exceptional experience; trains staff accordingly; maintains restaurant cleanliness and food safety standards; responds to guest concerns professionally; upholds a positive brand image.
3. Higher Profits: Partners with the Restaurant Manager to analyze operational and financial performance; develops action plans to improve sales and profitability; monitors costs and adherence to budgets.

Qualifications

1. High School Diploma or equivalent; degree preferred.
2. Minimum 1+ years as a Shift Leader or Assistant Manager internally; 3 years external experience with P&L responsibility.
3. Must be 18+, ServSafe certified, proficient in English, and possess a valid driver’s license.
4. Physical ability to stand, lift, operate equipment, and use a computer.
