Job Summary

Supports the General Manager in all aspects of restaurant operations, including scheduling, recruiting, inventory management, daily reporting, financial processes, and enforcing safety and sanitation procedures, as well as company policies and expectations. Assistant managers develop future managers and coach team members to ensure guest satisfaction.

Essential Functions

• Supports General Manager in all operational areas.
• Runs shifts ensuring quality and prompt service.
• Monitors and coaches team on safety and sanitation best practices.
• Monitors portion control and coaches to reduce food waste.
• Maintains guest relations and promptly follows up on comments or concerns.
• Coaches and develops team members for new stations.
• Leads by example, demonstrating integrity and positive role modeling.
• Performs restaurant tours, opening and closing procedures.
• Ensures equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Enforces uniform and hygiene standards.
• Recruits and hires new team members.
• Documents incidents appropriately and promptly.
• Prepares schedules to meet labor expectations based on sales projections.
• Runs shifts and adjusts deployment to meet labor and break expectations.
• Completes inventory and investigates food variances for improvements.
• Engages in community relationships.
