Job Description
Your Role at Raising Cane’s:

The Assistant Restaurant Leader supports the Restaurant Leader in daily operations, upholding Raising Cane’s standards and culture across all restaurant aspects.

The physical work environment involves working in a fast-paced kitchen, requiring physical exertion like walking, standing, lifting, and bending. It includes both indoor and outdoor work in various temperatures, handling food and allergens, operating industrial equipment, and using protective gear.

Your Impact And Responsibilities
Purpose of the position:
  • Hire and terminate all hourly, non-management crewmembers.
  • Manage onboarding, status changes, and payroll for all hourly crewmembers.
  • Create work and training schedules for crewmembers.
  • Manage performance through development, coaching, and documentation.
  • Act as manager on duty, including opening and closing the restaurant.
  • Handle cash and ensure accountability.
General Responsibilities:
  • Enforce Raising Cane’s policies and standards.
  • Lead shift management, ensuring safety and operational standards.
  • Use tools and logs to support shift execution and corrective actions.
  • Deploy crewmembers during shifts.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Use reward and recognition programs.
  • Authorize employee functions requiring manager approval.
  • Maintain restaurant cleanliness and facility condition.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Requirements for Success:
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Self-driven, flexible, energetic, with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Problem-solving skills with goal-setting and planning abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and adaptable to new systems.
  • Flexible shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and travel.
  • 3+ years of restaurant or retail management experience.
  • Experience with new restaurant openings preferred.
  • Must be 18+, high school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
