Job summary

Ability Beyond is seeking an Assistant Residential Program Manager to lead a program across the Greater Danbury area. You will guide staff, assist residents with daily activities, and ensure high-quality care in a mission-driven environment.

The role includes guaranteed schedules with day and evening shifts, weekend availability, and opportunities to mentor Direct Care Professionals while promoting meaningful community engagement and inclusive care.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent with related experience.
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
• Ability to obtain required certifications (Medication Admin, CPR, First Aid).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with the team.
• Maintain a safe, supportive environment for individuals served.
• Assist with daily living activities and personal care.
• Support household routines: cooking, cleaning, laundry, transport.
• Keep accurate financial records and safeguard belongings.
• Train and mentor Direct Care Professionals to deliver high-quality care.
• Promote community engagement through employment, recreation, volunteering.
• Lead by example with professionalism, positivity, and empathy.

Assistant Residential Program Manager

Pay Rate:$21 to 21.50 per hour

Locations:Multiple programs across the Greater Danbury Area

Schedule:Guaranteed set schedules available including combinations of 1st (Day) and 2nd (Evening) shifts – weekend availability required.

What You Will Do

Collaborate with your team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Ensure a safe, supportive, and respectful environment for the individuals we serve
Provide direct assistance with daily living activities, including personal care and hygiene
Support household routines such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and transportation
Maintain accurate financial records and safeguard personal belongings
Train and mentor Direct Care Professionals to deliver high-quality care
Promote meaningful community engagement through employment, recreation, and volunteer opportunities
Serve as a hands-on leader who models professionalism, positivity, and empathy

What You Will Need

High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of full-time related experience OR 2 years of college in a related field with 1 year of full-time related experience
Valid driver’s license and access to a registered, insured vehicle
Ability to complete required certifications (Medication Administration, CPR, First Aid) within designated timeframes
