Job summary

Devereux Pocono in Newfoundland, PA seeks an Assistant Residential Manager to support adults with developmental disabilities in residential programs. You will assist with daily living activities, help develop and evaluate care plans, and supervise front-line staff to ensure safe, compassionate service.

The role offers growth opportunities through ASCEND and shifts with differential pay. A valid driver’s license is required and experience in a residential setting is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, social sciences, management or related health field OR high school diploma with at least three years experience in a residential treatment setting.
• Candidate must possess a minimum of two years experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities; at least 6 months supervisory experience; valid driver’s license.

Located in Newfoundland, PA with group homes across four counties, this position is responsible for assisting individuals with activities of daily living and sharing in the development, implementation and evaluation process for overall residential operation.

Payrates: Starting rate $20.52 hr

Build your own rate up with the shift differential and our TOB Exchange program!

• Exchange 40 hours of Time Off for an additional .38 cents per hour, or 80 hours for an additional .77 cents per hour!


• Additional $0.30 Evening shift differential, $0.50 Overnight shift differential


• Additional .29 cents per hour is you have an active C.N.A.


• Earn an extra $1.00/hour to your base pay if you have an active NADSP Level 1 Certification

Qualifications

Education:Bachelor's degree in education, social sciences, management and/or realted health degree OR high school diploma or GED with at least three years experience in a residential treatment setting required.

Experience: Candidate must possess a minimum of two years experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Must possess at least 6 months of supervisory experience. Must have a valid driver's license.

Physical Requirements: Pre-employment physical required. Significant and frequent amounts of walking, sitting, stooping, bending & standing required. Frequent planned, outside activities causing exposure to sunlight and heat. Speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate effectively by phone or in person at normal volumes. Vision adequate to read correspondence, computer screen, forms, etc. Good manual dexterity.
