Job summary

Techno Consult Engineering, PC is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer to support field supervision and project delivery for the Hudson Tunnel Project. You will work with New Jersey Transit, contractors, engineers, and project management teams to ensure progress and compliance.

The role emphasizes field coordination, documentation, QA, safety, environmental compliance, meetings, and close-out activities across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in construction management, field engineering, or inspection.
• Familiarity with construction documentation, environmental compliance, codes and regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with BIM or CAD is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction management, field engineering, or inspection, preferably on major infrastructure or transportation projects.
• Knowledge of construction methods, contract administration, project controls, quality assurance, and safety requirements.
• Familiarity with construction documentation, environmental compliance, and applicable codes and regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with construction management software, BIM, or CAD is a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work onsite and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with rail, tunnel, or federally funded transportation projects.
• Familiarity with NJ Transit, Amtrak, and applicable construction requirements.
• Relevant safety, inspection, or construction certifications.

Compensation

The anticipated compensation range for this position is between $70 - $100 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, education, certifications, skills, and work location.
