LHH is seeking an experienced operations leader to support the day-to-day management of a high-volume distribution center. This role serves as the second-in-command for warehouse operations and is responsible for helping ensure efficient inventory movement, order fulfillment, safety compliance, workforce coordination, and overall operational excellence. The successful candidate will be capable of stepping into the facility leadership role when needed and will play a key part in maintaining productivity, accuracy, and service levels across warehouse operations.
Responsibilities:
Warehouse & Distribution Operations
- Support leadership in overseeing daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, inventory replenishment, order fulfillment, and outbound shipping.
- Monitor workflow within the warehouse management system and help prioritize operational tasks to meet service expectations.
- Identify and elevate inventory, order, or receiving discrepancies and assist in resolving operational issues.
- Ensure efficient movement of products throughout the facility while maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Assist team members with operational processes and provide guidance on best practices.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives designed to enhance productivity, quality, and operational performance.
- Help investigate operational exceptions and contribute to root cause analysis efforts.
Team Leadership & Employee Support
- Provide direction and support to warehouse personnel in the absence of senior leadership.
- Assist with workforce planning, scheduling, training, and daily task assignments.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.
- Monitor employee performance and communicate concerns, achievements, and development opportunities to management.
- Support onboarding and ongoing training efforts to ensure employees understand operational procedures and expectations.
Safety & Compliance
- Reinforce safety standards and encourage adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Conduct routine observations of warehouse activities to identify potential risks or operational concerns.
- Report safety incidents, hazards, and compliance issues promptly.
- Support initiatives focused on maintaining a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or management experience within a warehouse, distribution, logistics, or supply chain environment.
- Possess or able to obtain a Florida Certified Designated Representative (CDR) license immediately upon hire
- Experience working with warehouse management systems and inventory control processes.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze operational challenges and recommend practical solutions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to follow-through.
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in a regulated product distribution environment such as healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical, manufacturing, or similar industries.
- Familiarity with inventory performance metrics and operational KPI management.
- Possess or able to obtain a Florida DR immediately upon hire a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical warehouse activities throughout the workday.
- Ability to regularly lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds with appropriate assistance and equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures, operational equipment, and typical distribution center conditions.
