Job summary

Canteen, a Compass Group company, is seeking an Assistant Regional Controller in Richmond, VA to support monthly, quarterly and fiscal close and prepare financial statements for designated divisions. The role requires attention to detail and collaboration with various teams and management levels.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, with at least two years of corporate accounting experience in retail, and familiarity with POS, cash handling and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent professional experience.
• At least two years of corporate accounting experience in a retail industry.
• Experience with POS, cash and credit card environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute billings to clients
• Review general ledger and balance sheet and resolve reconciliation issues
• Track and maintain monthly P/L and balance sheet activity
• Assist with review and reconciliation of credit card and cash transactions
• Assist in preparation of various State and Local sales tax returns
• Handle special projects as needed
