Job summary

The City of Westminster is seeking an Assistant Recreation Facility Supervisor to assist in the supervision of a multi-function facility, including the weight room and leisure spaces. You will help coordinate programs, events, and staff while delivering high guest service in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires leadership, strong knowledge of recreation operations, and the ability to manage cash controls and frontline operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of progressive experience in facility operations or customer service.
• In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, 2 years of college or 5 years progressive experience.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a CPR and Standard First Aid Certificate within 90 days of employment.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.
• Preferred: experience in recreation facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in facility supervision including locker room, weight room, and meeting/activity spaces.
• Oversee recreation center operations on duty and maintain discipline in areas.
• Public relations: inform facility users and assist at the front counter or control areas.
• Maintain daily cash controls and assist in opening/closing the facility.
• Support and supervise a variety of staff; participate in staff trainings and meetings.
• Ensure adherence to policies and procedures governing facility operations.
