Job summary

Foster Farms is seeking a Ranch Supervisor to oversee fryers and ensure high-quality poultry production on our California ranches. You will supervise the ramp-up of brooding, temperature control, vaccinations, and required sanitation while coordinating with maintenance and field staff.

Pay starts at $18.75 per hour, with an additional $1.00 per hour for evening hours (7:00pm–11:59pm) and $2.00 per hour for overnight (12:00am–4:59am) shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have completed the Chicken Grow Out Training Program.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must possess supervisory and leadership skills.
• Must have good mathematical and organizational skills.
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills (Basic English).
• Must be able to move and lift 50 pounds.
• Must be willing to respond to alarms and adverse conditions affecting the chickens.
• Must be able to work overtime, evenings, holidays and weekends.
• Must follow company standards and policies on the ranch complex.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ranch activities and functions of assigned fryers and the fryer ranch.
• Direct grow-out of fryers including setup of the ranch, brooding, temperatures, ventilation, mortality, vaccinations, and medications to meet quality standards.
• Maintain ranch facilities and coordinate with maintenance for supplies and service calls.
• Enforce strict sanitation procedures and monitor bird health; report abnormalities.
• Respond to emergencies affecting the chickens day or night.
• Manage and control all ranch production costs including labor, fuel, supplies, and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of feed, mortality, fuel, production, and energy usage.
• Train and delegate duties to ranch personnel.
• Adhere to company safety, animal welfare and disease prevention guidelines.
• Coordinate with feed mill dispatchers, drivers, and supervision across ranches.
