Assistant Racquet Sports Professional Country Club in Abilene, Texas is looking for an Assistant Racquet Sports Professional.

Position Overview: This position will have opportunities to work with juniors and adults through private lessons, group lessons, clinics, camps, pickleball programming, events, and other racquets activities.

Key Responsibilities

Tennis & Pickleball Instruction

• Teach private lessons, group lessons, clinics, camps, and other instructional programs based on experience and ability.
• Provide quality instruction to players ranging from beginners to advanced competitors.
• Create fun, engaging, and structured learning environments for both junior and adult players.
• Teach both tennis and pickleball, with an emphasis on helping members improve their skills while enjoying the game.
• Assist with adult clinics, junior programs, beginner programming, and other Club offerings.
• Help grow participation in tennis and pickleball programming.
• Provide excellent on-court experiences that encourage members to return and continue their development.

Junior Development

• Assist with junior tennis and pickleball programs, camps, clinics, and events.
• Help create a positive and encouraging environment for junior players.
• Work with players of different ages and ability levels to develop fundamental skills, confidence, and a love for the game.
• Assist with junior match play, socials, round robins, tournaments, and other activities.
• Communicate professionally and positively with parents regarding programs, schedules, and player development.

Member Engagement

• Build strong, positive relationships with Abilene Country Club members.
• Provide friendly, professional, and enthusiastic customer service both on and off the court.
• Encourage members to participate in lessons, clinics, leagues, events, and other racquets programming.
• Help introduce new members to the Club's tennis and pickleball programs.
• Be proactive in identifying opportunities to increase member participation and engagement.
• Represent Abilene Country Club with professionalism and a positive attitude.

Events & Tournaments

• Assist with tennis and pickleball tournaments, mixers, socials, round robins, leagues, and special events.
• Assist with registration, scheduling, court assignments, draws, and day-of event operations.
• Help create fun and engaging events that encourage participation and strengthen the Club's racquets community.
• Bring new ideas for tennis and pickleball programming and events.

Program & Facility Operations

• Assist the Director of Racquet Sports with the daily operation of the racquets program.
• Help ensure courts and surrounding racquets areas are clean, safe, organized, and ready for play.
• Maintain teaching equipment, balls, paddles, and other racquets supplies.
• Communicate facility or maintenance concerns to the appropriate Club staff.
• Assist with program registrations, schedules, and other administrative responsibilities as needed.
• Follow all Club policies, safety procedures, and operational standards.
