CNWL NHS Foundation Trust in Uxbridge is seeking an Assistant Psychologist to support professional psychological care within the Drug and Alcohol service. You will contribute to data collection, data analysis, and assessment under supervision.

The role includes governance, audits, and research activity within a multidisciplinary team, with opportunities to participate in DRR/ATR psychosocial interventions and teaching.

Responsabilités

• Participate in clinical governance and utilise research skills for audit, service development and research within the area served by the multi-disciplinary Drug and Alcohol team.
• Undertake clinically-related administration and the Drug Rehabilitation Requirement (DRR)/Alcohol Treatment Requirement (ATR) Psychosocial Interventions and Workshops.
• Provide duty assessments and interventions to clients of the multi-disciplinary Drug and Alcohol Service under the supervision of a qualified professional psychologist.
• Work independently according to a plan agreed with a qualified psychologist and within the overall framework of the teams policies and procedures.
• Assist in clinically related administration, conduct of audits, collection of statistics and development of audit and/or research projects, teaching and project work.
• Utilise theory, evidence-based literature and research to support evidence-based practice in individual work.
• Assist in the design and implementation of audit and research projects on a regular basis to help develop and improve service provision.
• Carry-out production of questionnaires, data collection, setting up of databases and spreadsheets, data analysis, and the production of reports and presentation of summaries to colleagues using IT and statistical programmes, including Microsoft Office and SPSS.
• Carry-out searches of evidence-based literature and research to assist qualified clinical psychologists in evidence-based practice in individual work and work with other multi-disciplinary team members.
• Carry out practice-based research using validated questionnaires, reflective scientist practitioner skills, etc, as routine.
