Mills Properties, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to support the property manager in daily operations at our Missouri communities. You will help manage ledgers, collect rents, and nurture positive resident relationships to deliver outstanding living experiences.

In this role you will assist with leasing activities, reports, and coordinating maintenance while upholding Fair Housing and company policies. A team-focused attitude and reliable communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• Two years’ experience in multi-family property management.
• CAM, RAM, CLP or NALP certifications preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills with ability to mentor others.
• Strong negotiation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability; team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Oversee property operations in the manager's absence and act as property leader.
• Ensure timely collection of security deposits and monthly rents.
• Maintain resident ledgers with deposits, rent, charges, and statements.
• Initiate lease violations, late notices and evictions; pursue collections.
• Assist in leasing: greet guests, tour, qualify, follow up, and close lease documents.
• Prepare daily/weekly reports and manage resident communications.
• Plan and execute resident events and maintain property curb appeal.
• Support maintenance with safety, cleanliness, and service requests.
• Maintain knowledge of the property and local market; uphold Fair Housing laws.
