Mountain States Property Management is seeking an Assistant Property Manager I to support on-site operations at Seasons at Southpoint and Towns of Traverse Mountain. Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of property management experience, preferably as a leasing specialist or assistant manager.
  • National Apartment Leasing Professional (NALP).
  • Highschool diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in Leadership Responsibilities and support the property manager.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment and tenant satisfaction.
  • Oversee leasing workflow within the CRM and achieve high occupancy.
  • Coordinate marketing, social media content, and resident relations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Train and supervise new office staff during the first month.

Job Summary

Mountain States Property Management is seeking a results-oriented and experienced Assistant Property Manager. This challenging yet rewarding role requires a dynamic professional with a proven track record in property management and leadership skills. This role will require constant communication with your team to provide the best service for our tenants. We are a locally owned property management company overseeing multifamily communities across the region. Our on-site teams are supported by a central office and leadership group that value clear expectations, teamwork, and accountability. We believe strong communities start with supported employees and take pride in creating stable, well-maintained places for residents. We look for team members who take ownership of their work, support their coworkers, and contribute to a positive community for both residents and staff.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist in Leadership Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a secondary authority to the property manager in all things related to the property, team, and residents.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment, instilling a culture of excellence, kindness, humility, honesty, and hard work.
  • Help during move in and move out inspections
  • Resident Relations:
  • Cultivate positive relationships with residents, promptly addressing concerns to maintain high satisfaction levels
  • Work with dissatisfied residents to resolve their problems in a friendly and compliant manner
  • Implement resident retention programs for long-term community stability
  • Create a community of “super-fans” and encourage them to share their positive experiences online for others to see
  • Marketing, Leasing, & Collections
  • Assist/Oversee the marketing efforts of the community to ensure steady traffic and engagement
  • Assist/Oversee all social media content creation for the property
  • Oversee the leasing workflow within the CRM system and take proactive efforts to achieve high engagement and responsiveness scores
  • Assist in overseeing all leasing efforts including being an active member of the leasing team
  • Performing check deposits
  • Work to obtain and maintain high occupancy rates through effective sales and renewal strategies
  • Push to collect all property charges and maintain as low delinquency rate as possible
  • Assist the property manager in all lease renewal strategies and push for high renewal rates
  • Compliance:
  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, and company policies and procedures
  • Manage the process of sending collection an eviction accounts to the law office
  • Posting three-day notices
  • Incorporate industry best practices into daily operations
  • Training:
  • Newly hired office employees will be under your supervision during the first month
  • Preparing and communicating expectations and goals
  • Offering any assistance to the employee to make the transition smoother
Skills
  • Proven success in on-site multi-family property management operations
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Proficient in advertising, social media management, and outreach marketing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Be able to adapt to new situations and be an active problem solver
Education and Experience
  • Minimum of 0-2 years of property management experience, preferably as a leasing specialist or assistant manager
  • National Apartment Leasing Professional (NALP)
  • Highschool diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements
  • Ensure good physical hygiene with a clean and professional image
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Occasionally assist with cleaners/maintenance employees on specific jobs
