Assistant Property Manager for Compliance

Job Details

Location: Fresh Pond - Cambridge, MA

Schochet is seeking an Assistant Property Manager for Compliance at Fresh Pond Apartments, a 500-unit family community. Responsibilities include assisting the Sr. Property Manager with daily operations, overseeing the Compliance Team, and managing Section 8 compliance tasks such as certifications and recertifications.

Responsibilities

• Complete annual and interim resident recertifications, ensuring timely updates and accurate rent calculations using Yardi software.
• Maintain positive communication with residents, prospects, vendors, and staff.
• Show units, process move-in paperwork, conduct resident orientations, and inspections.
• Ensure compliance with EIV regulations and confidentiality policies.
• Handle TRACS and HAP payments.
• Update and maintain the property's wait list.
• Manage vacancies and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

3+ years in Property Management with experience in Section 8 housing. Must possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, be proficient in Microsoft Office, and have Yardi experience. Certified Occupancy Specialist or equivalent required; IREM certifications preferred.
