Job Description Summary

The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for assisting in all areas defined as a part of the Sr. Assistant Property Manager job description, as well as performing property administrator duties if there is no property administrator on the team. The role requires maintaining professionalism and fostering positive relationships with tenants and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide administrative support including phone support, typing, reports, filing, and correspondence distribution. Coordinate office supplies in absence of a property administrator.
  2. Assist in lease administration, including abstracting leases and updating the database.
  3. Maintain orderly property files, including leases and contracts.
  4. Prepare and coordinate bid proposals and service contracts.
  5. Obtain and follow up on aging reports and delinquencies per policies.
  6. Process invoices with appropriate documentation.
  7. Coordinate tenant move-ins and move-outs, including furniture logistics.
  8. Oversee maintenance of work order and purchase order systems.
  9. Develop and maintain tenant service initiatives, ensuring database accuracy.
  10. Update office procedures in the Operations Manual.
  11. Ensure Certificates of Insurance are current for tenants and vendors.
  12. Review and approve staff hours, expense reports, and check requests.
  13. Process tenant bill-backs timely.
  14. Assist in budget preparation and financial reporting, including bank deposits.
  15. Conduct regular property inspections with service providers.
  16. Oversee performance of service contractors.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least 1 year of real estate property management or related experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Office environment with travel between properties, requiring standing, walking, and operating office equipment.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $41.00 per hour. Cushman & Wakefield offers comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, and paid time off.
