This range is provided by SHP Management Corporation. Your actual pay will depend on your skills and experience. Please discuss with your recruiter to learn more.

Base Pay Range

$20.00/hr - $22.00/hr

Position Summary

The Assistant Property Manager provides clerical support for property administration, including answering phones, greeting tenants and visitors, typing, filing, and preparing reports. This role reports to the Property Manager.

Essential Functions
  • Assist in the eviction process when necessary and approved by the main office.
  • Collect and record rent, follow up on delinquencies.
  • Help in drawing up specifications and obtaining bids from contractors for approved work.
  • Maintain records, files, and reports for the property as required by the main office or state agencies.
  • Coordinate tenant move-ins and move-outs promptly.
  • Perform annual or more frequent unit inspections and assist with inspections by state agencies or third parties.
  • Handle tenant complaints and follow up in a timely manner.
  • Perform all clerical duties associated with this position.
Qualifications: Skills & Abilities
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years of experience in an administrative role.
  • Experience with Project-based Section 8 or tax credit programs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management software like Real Page or YARDI.
  • Responsible, dependable, and trustworthy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work at a sustained pace and produce quality work.
Physical Abilities

Ability to lift/carry, push/pull, stand, walk, sit, handle/finger, reach, climb, crawl, squat/kneel, and bend as required.
