Responsibilities

  • Serve as a professional and welcoming point of contact for residents, prospects, and visitors.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Respond to resident questions, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate and follow up on service requests and other resident needs.
  • Assist with rent collection and account-related communications.
  • Help create a positive, well-maintained, and engaging community environment.
  • Assist with planning and executing resident events and community initiatives.
  • Prepare, process, and maintain leases, renewals, notices, and other property documentation.
  • Maintain accurate resident and prospect records.
  • Manage computer systems, property management software, and lead-tracking platforms.
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding administrative items.
  • Assist with reporting, recordkeeping, and other operational responsibilities.
  • Coordinate communication between residents, management, maintenance, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

The Position

JCMLiving is seeking an experienced Assistant Property Manager to join the management team at one of our beautiful apartment communities.

This is a highly visible, administrative and resident-facing position that plays an important role in the day-to-day operation of the community. The successful candidate will work closely with residents, prospective residents, vendors, and the property management team to ensure the community operates efficiently and delivers a consistently high level of service.

While leasing and new resident acquisition are an important component of the position, approximately 20% of the role is dedicated to leasing activities. The majority of the position focuses on resident relations, administrative operations, property management support, organization, communication, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day experience of the community.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated property management professional who enjoys being the central point of contact, solving problems, staying organized, and building strong relationships with residents.

Key Responsibilities
Community & Resident Relations
  • Serve as a professional and welcoming point of contact for residents, prospects, and visitors.

Administrative & Property Management Operations
  • Support the property management team with the daily administration and operation of the community.
  • Prepare, process, and maintain leases, renewals, notices, correspondence, and other property documentation.
  • Maintain accurate resident and prospect records.
  • Manage computer systems, property management software, and lead-tracking platforms.
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding administrative items.
  • Assist with reporting, recordkeeping, and other operational responsibilities.
  • Coordinate communication between residents, management, maintenance, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Leasing & Marketing — Approximately 20%
  • Meet and greet prospective residents and provide a professional first impression of the community.
  • Respond to leasing inquiries and schedule appointments.
  • Conduct property tours and present available apartments and community amenities.
  • Follow up with prospects and maintain accurate lead information.
  • Assist with the leasing process from initial inquiry through application and lease execution.
  • Support community marketing and outreach initiatives as needed.
