Join to apply for the Assistant Property Manager role at Gateway Management Company.

Gateway Management Company is currently seeking an Assistant Property Manager for our Legacy Universal apartment community located in Orlando, FL. This role involves assisting with daily operations, including helping prospective tenants, answering phones, routing service requests for maintenance, and supporting the Property Manager.

Responsibilities:
  1. Complete lease applications accurately, assist with verification, and notify applicants of results.
  2. Maintain accurate records in property management software and resident files, organize reports, leases, and paperwork.
  3. Coordinate with management and accounting to ensure rent collection and proper data entry.
  4. Implement and enforce all company policies, including site operations, compliance, maintenance, resident services, safety, and marketing.
  5. Develop thorough knowledge of our communities and local market.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience as an Assistant Property Manager or in a customer service role related to property management.
  • Knowledge of federal and state low-income housing tax credit guidelines.
  • Effective communication skills with diverse individuals.
  • Some financial and accounting knowledge.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
  • Prolonged computer use and communication via telephone, email, and face-to-face.
  • Light to medium physical activity including standing, walking, stair climbing, stooping, crouching, and lifting up to 20 pounds.
  • Daily property inspections and resident interactions.
  • Potential evening, weekend work, and on-call duties.
