Responsibilities:
What your day-to-day might look like:
- Collect and secure rental payments.
- Scan daily bank deposits and verify their accuracy.
- Assist Community Director with daily rate approvals in Yieldstar.
- Input daily activity transactions in Yardi and clear validations.
- Prepare accounting records and reports, including deposit accounting and monthly close-out.
- Verify move-out accuracy for rental collection.
- Deliver late rent notices and contact residents with unpaid rent.
- Handle bad debt collection until no longer applicable.
- Assist in eviction processes and follow policies.
- Enter activity into YARDI, including checklists and Skip Watch info.
- Assist with leasing duties, including showing apartments and preparing leases.
- Maintain organized community files.
- Stay informed on laws and regulations (Fair Housing, evictions, etc.).
- Prepare timely reports.
- Assist with work orders and resident service requests.
- Inspect vacant apartments and prepare them for market.
- Support resident retention and renewal programs.
- Perform inspections of common areas and report issues.
- Assist in planning resident functions.
- Follow safety policies and procedures.
- Perform duties of Community Director as needed.
- Be courteous and helpful to residents and staff.
- Have reliable transportation and communication methods.
- Be available for overtime, weekends, holidays, and possible travel.
