We are currently interviewing experienced Assistant Property Managers for Station Old Town, a 286-unit community in Lewisville, TX. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in rent collections, leasing, customer service, and attention to detail. Yardi experience is a plus.

Summary

The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for rent collection and posting, delinquency management, move-out procedures, monthly reporting, resident services, and leasing. They will also assist the Property Manager with property operations and compliance with company policies and laws.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Post monthly rent, application fees, deposits, and collections promptly.
  • Perform leasing duties, including renewals.
  • Collect monies due after move-out for damages or additional charges.
  • Contact delinquent residents via letters and in person to collect payments, aiming for $0 due by month-end.
  • File eviction paperwork and attend court proceedings.
  • Update computer systems to reflect resident move-outs and ensure accurate occupancy records.
  • Prepare month-end reports, including occupancy and accounting reports, and process SODA.
  • Stand in for the Property Manager when needed.
  • Adhere to all company policies, including safety and Fair Housing regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • At least 2 years of experience as an assistant property manager in the multi-family industry.
  • Knowledge of property management platforms (Yardi, Entrata, Yieldstar, CRM) preferred.
  • Experience in property accounting, rent collection, eviction processes, and managing delinquency, with keen attention to detail.
  • Leasing experience is highly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • A valid driver’s license and automobile insurance may be required, depending on the property.
