Assistant Manager – Self-Storage Operations

Join our team as an Assistant Manager at our self-storage facility—where you'll be at the heart of operations, helping customers, keeping things running smoothly, and creating a welcoming environment.
What You’ll Do
Customer Experience & Sales
- Welcome and assist customers with professionalism and a friendly attitude, building trust and lasting relationships.
- Recommend storage solutions and sell packing/moving supplies tailored to customer needs.
- Guide customers through the rental process and provide ongoing support to ensure satisfaction and retention.
Facility Operations & Maintenance
- Perform daily property inspections to maintain a clean, secure, and well-functioning environment.
- Take care of light maintenance tasks like cleaning, minor repairs, landscaping, and touch-up painting.
- Conduct lock checks, monitor security systems, and coordinate with vendors or contractors as needed.
Office & Administrative Support
- Process rentals, payments, and customer transactions using our POS system.
- Keep accurate records and manage customer communications and account updates.
- Assist with daily reports, bank deposits, and promptly report any issues or trends to leadership.
What We’re Looking For
- A friendly, proactive attitude and a genuine desire to help others.
- Experience in customer service, retail, or hospitality is a plus.
- Comfortable with light physical tasks and being on your feet during your shift.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
- A team player who’s also confident working independently.
The Essentials
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and perform tasks like bending, climbing ladders, and using hand tools.
- Willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions and inside units as needed.
- Basic computer skills required (you’ll use email, our POS system, and online tools).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must be available to work Saturdays (we’re closed Sundays).
