Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Assistant Property Manager to join our team at the Woods of Fairfax apartment community. The Assistant Property Manager supports the Property Manager in ensuring the community generates satisfactory cash flow, maintains high standards, and provides excellent customer satisfaction. The role also involves managing the property in the absence of the Property Manager.

Responsibilities

  1. Answer telephone and email inquiries from residents and prospects promptly.
  2. Follow up on emails from prospective residents to schedule showings.
  3. Assist with move-ins, move-outs, certifications, and renewals.
  4. Greet prospective residents, conduct tours, demonstrate apartment features and amenities, explain occupancy terms, and provide local area information.
  5. Close sales, collect deposits, and process applications or waiting list requests.
  6. Follow up with prospects to secure leases.
  7. Verify eligibility of prospective residents following regulations and company policies.
  8. Assist with marketing surveys.
  9. Pursue rent collection, assist with delinquencies, and court filings.
  10. Investigate complaints and resolve issues according to management policies.
  11. Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation.
  12. Ensure confidentiality of resident data.
  13. Coordinate with other departments and ensure activities comply with HUD and Fair Housing regulations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; experience in property management preferred.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Valid driver's license in the state of residence.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends.
  • Willingness to travel for training and meetings.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English; fluency in Spanish is a plus.
