We are looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant Property Manager for our affordable community, Langwick Senior Residences, a 128-unit property in Houston, TX.

Job Description

The Assistant Property Manager supports the Property Manager in daily operations, implementing policies and procedures to ensure a well-managed, maintained building. The role requires maturity, good judgment, and knowledge of LIHTC and Affordable Housing operations, especially in turnaround or renovated properties.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, provide leasing info, schedule tours, handle maintenance requests, assist residents.
• Collaborate with the Property Manager on administrative and financial duties.
• Manage rent collections, issue notices, and conduct property inspections.
• Assist in preparing monthly reports on renewals, rents, leasing, and resident retention.
• Ensure HUD/LIHTC compliance with accurate and timely paperwork.
• Perform various administrative duties.

Requirements

• Associate degree preferred but not required.
• At least one year of LIHTC/Affordable Housing experience.
• Proficient in internet and systems software, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience with industry software like Bluemoon, Yieldstar, Onsite, or Yardi is required.
