Job summary

Rocky Mountain Communities is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to be on-site in the Denver metropolitan area. The role supports leasing, move-ins/outs, rent collection, and maintenance coordination while maintaining resident records and assisting with reports.

You will ensure compliance with affordable housing rules, communicate with residents, and work closely with the Property Manager to foster a safe, welcoming community.

Qualifications

  • Experience in property management, leasing, or housing administration, preferably within affordable or multifamily housing.
  • Strong customer service and resident relations skills, including the ability to communicate clearly, handle conflicts professionally, and build trust with diverse populations.
  • Basic administrative and organizational skills, such as maintaining records, preparing documents and reports, and managing multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Comfort with using property management or office software, including data entry, email communication, and basic spreadsheet or document tools.
  • Knowledge of or interest in learning affordable housing programs, fair housing laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work on-site in the Denver Metropolitan Area, collaborate with a team, and respond to resident and property needs in a timely manner.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in property management or a related field are a plus.
  • Prior experience working with community-based organizations, social services, or resident support programs is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day property operations, including leasing activities, resident move-ins and move-outs, rent collection, and coordination of maintenance requests.
  • Maintain accurate resident records, prepare notices and basic reports.
  • Ensure compliance with affordable housing regulations and organizational policies.
  • Communicate with residents to address questions, resolve concerns, and connect them with services and resources.

Role Description

The Assistant Property Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in the Denver Metropolitan Area.
