Job summary

Buttonwood Capital Management in Michigan seeks an dependable Assistant Property Manager to help maintain properties, coordinate daily priorities, and support the on-site team. This hands-on role covers landscaping, general repairs, cleaning outdoors, pool upkeep, and vehicle/ equipment organization, with a focus on safety and customer service.

Candidates should be able to lift heavy objects, work outdoors in all weather, and communicate effectively with the Property Manager to keep properties

Responsibilities

• Assist Property Manager with duties to maintain properties in a neat, presentable, well-maintained manner.
• Communicate with Property Manager regarding daily priorities and task completion.
• Perform handyman repairs and light duty construction on properties and equipment.
• Grounds and landscaping maintenance including mowing, pruning, weeding and trimming.
• Detailed cleaning and maintenance of outdoor spaces.
• Pool maintenance and cleaning.
• Car detailing and fueling.
• Organize and clean garages, attics and outdoor storage areas.
• Manage trash collection, packages and keep common areas cleaned and stocked.
• Keep staff workspaces, UTV’s, tools and equipment organized and cleaned.
• Ensure driveways and walkways are kept in a safe condition, including snow and ice removal.
• Perform janitorial duties as necessary.
• Assist other household staff as needed on a priority basis, including moving furniture, heavy objects, seasonal lighting, and other projects.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous landscaping/grounds experience, including knowledge regarding proper care and maintenance of lawn, trees, shrubs, flowers, etc. is preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• High attention to detail, ability to prioritize, and follow-through of daily routines
• Enjoy a hands-on, service-oriented position
• Ability to lift 30 pounds to a maximum height of 6 feet, including occasional lifting up to 80 pounds
• Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, climb, and remain standing and walking on feet for lengthy periods of time
• Ability to safely operate power machinery and lawn care tools such as mowers, edgers, clippers, skid steer, snow plow, etc.
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
