Job summary

SWCA Environmental Consultants seeks a Temporary Assistant Project Paleontologist to support field mitigation efforts in the western United States, primarily Wyoming. Based out of Denver or Sheridan, you will lead monitoring, surveys, fossil recovery, and data collection under a Paleontology Lead.

You will coordinate field crews, communicate with clients and construction personnel, and assist with schedules, budgets, and deliverables on energy transmission, oil and gas, and mining projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of Wyoming mitigation experience
• Four years of professional paleontological mitigation experience overall
• Preference for Wyoming Paleontological Resource Use Permit Field Agent

Responsibilities

• Lead paleontology field projects as applicable Field Agent or Principal Investigator
• Supervise and conduct monitoring, surveys, fossil recovery, and data collection
• Plan and coordinate field efforts and field crew activities
