Job summary

Aldridge Electric is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our Utility team in the Washington, D.C. area. You will work with the project team to ensure safe, on-time, and on-budget project delivery.

Required are a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent construction/union background, internships or relevant experience, strong work ethic, and excellent communication. Travel readiness is preferred, and a bonus may be available.

Responsibilities

  • Promote safe job sites on projects.
  • Conduct pre-job planning and coordination.
  • Track costs and labor to manage budgets.
  • Maintain document control (submittals, RFIs, change orders).
  • Procure materials and tools as needed for projects.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and ensure contract compliance.

What We Are Looking For

Aldridge is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic and energetic Utility team in the Washington D.C. area. This role will work collaboratively with the project team to ensure that a quality project is produced safely, on time, and within budget.

  • Pre-job planning
  • Cost and labor tracking
  • Document control (material submittals, RFIs, change orders, etc.)
  • Procuring material and tools
  • Coordination of subcontractors
  • Contract compliance
Who You Are
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Management, other related major, or equivalent construction/Union trade background
  • Internships or other relevant work experience
  • Strong work ethic
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time
  • Excellent communication
  • Willing to travel
What We Offer

The annual base pay for this role is between $70,000 - $80,000. The actual pay is dependent upon many factors, including location, work experience, education, training, transferable skills, business needs, and market conditions. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for a bonus.
