CLP Engineering, LLC is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support electrical infrastructure projects from planning through closeout, coordinating with project managers, engineers, contractors, and field crews to keep work on track.

Based at Hill Air Force Base, UT, this hands-on role provides exposure to construction schedules, budgets, and safety programs within a federal contracting environment, with clear path for growth in a respected, mission-focused company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field required or strongly preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience in industrial/commercial building construction or related field.
• Federal government contracting experience is a plus.
• Detail oriented with strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Organized, problem-solver with ability to multitask.
• Proficiency with MS Office and related tools.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.

• Maintain effective relations with Client, project team, engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel.
• Support the Project Manager with developing budgets, schedules, and construction service plans.
• Travel to project sites as needed to monitor activities.

• Help allocate resources, including personnel and materials.
• Monitor progress and construction activities against the schedule.
• Participate in procurement, cost control, and change management processes.
• Perform field inspections to verify quality and accuracy of work.
• Uphold safety values and coordinate with EH&S to enforce standards.

Assistant Project Manager

Location: Hill Air Force Base, UT

The Assistant Project Manager will support active electrical infrastructure projects from planning through closeout—working closely with Project Managers, engineers, contractors, and field crews to keep work moving, organized, and on track. Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist with compiling and distributing reports on all project phases and financial performance.
• Cultivate and maintain effective relations with the Client, project team, engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel.
• Support the Project Manager with developing the budget, schedule, and construction service plans for various elements of the project.
• Travel to the project site as needed to monitor project activities.
• Attend project meetings including pre-award, pre‑construction, project progress and final close‑out.
• Work closely with project management team to identify and allocate resources, including personnel and materials.
• Monitor progress, tracking timelines and construction activities according to schedule.
• Participate in and monitor the procurement process, cost control, and change management systems.
• Perform field inspections to verify quality and accuracy of construction.
• Uphold the core safety values of the company and collaborate with the EH&S Director to effectively communicate and enforce safety standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field highly preferred. Previous related work experience may substitute.
• Two-four (2-4) years of experience with industrial/commercial building construction, materials, systems, field work or similar is required.
• Previous experience with federal government contracting or federal construction activities is a plus.
• Detail oriented with strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Organized, Problem‑Solver with ability to multitask.
• Proficiency with MS Office, and other Microsoft Office products.
• Must have excellent analytical, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.

Other Requirements:

• You must be a US citizen or have permanent work authorization.
• You will be required to obtain Military Base Access Security Clearance.
• A valid driver’s license required.

• Salary range: $70,000-$85,000/year based on experience, plus eligible to participate in Short Term Incentive Plan.
