Job summary

City Light & Power (CLP) is seeking a Project Manager at Hill Air Force Base, UT to oversee on-time, on-budget project delivery for federal and municipal deployments.

You will coordinate teams, manage relationships with clients and engineers, and monitor financial performance while ensuring scope adherence and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years of project management experience; construction or utilities preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Understanding blueprints, specs, proposals to view time/cost/labor estimates.
• Must have to prepare construction schedules; strong analytical/organizational skills.
• Strong oral and written communication; able to delegate work and work with partners.

• Enhance and maintain client, engineering, and consultant relationships.
• Prepare reports on financial performance of the project.
• Oversee cost control and change management.
• Lead project meetings (progress, pre-construction, pre-award).

• Work with Safety Director to enforce Safety Program.

About the Role:

The Project Manager’s responsibilities include coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget and within scope. The PM oversees all aspects of projects, establishes deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors the progress of the project. The PM collaborates directly with our client to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget.

• Coordinate project team personnel and resources.
• Enhance and maintain relationships with clients, engineering personnel, and consultants.
• Compile reports regarding financial performance of the project.
• Oversee cost control and change management systems.
• Attend and lead project meetings, including progress, pre-construction, and pre-award.
• In coordination with Project Superintendent, develop and maintain site logistics plans.
• Prepare trade contracts and bid packages with assistance from Estimating Team.
• Will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of the project are compatible with CLP goals and client needs.
• Oversee procurement process with Purchasing Department.
• Track and balance resources across multiple simultaneous projects.
• Set-up QA/QC procedures and conduct quality inspections.
• Work closely with Safety Director to communicate and enforce corporate Safety Program.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring:

• Five to seven (5-7) years of project management experience required (construction or utility experience preferred).
  • Previous experience with CLP may be substituted for project management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field is preferred.
• Understand blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to view time/cost/labor estimates for projects and services.
• Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to prepare construction schedules.
• Must have excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills required with the ability to delegate work appropriately.
• As a Team Player, able to work well with various partners from start to finish.
• Ability to always maintain discretion and confidentiality.

Supervisory Responsibility:

• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

• This is a full-time exempt position. Office hours of work are Monday through Friday.
• The ability and availability to travel, attend meetings and functions outside typical business hours may be required.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance:

• You must be a US Citizen.
• You will be required to obtain Military Base Access Security Clearance.
• A valid driver’s license is required with a record that meets CLP Fleet Policy.

Compensation & Benefits:

• CLP offers an excellent benefits package including health, dental, life insurance, 401(k), profit sharing, paid time off, and holidays.
• Salary: $80,000 - $100,000/year depending on experience plus eligibility to participate in Short Term Incentive Plan.
