Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting supports an Akron, OH-based growth-focused infrastructure firm by seeking an Assistant Project Manager – T&D / Substation. This on-site role offers a clear path to a long-term PM career within the utility infrastructure sector.

The candidate will manage planning through closeout, assist scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and project controls, and coordinate with engineers, contractors, utilities, and field teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management is REQUIRED.
• 1–4 years of utility infrastructure, T&D, or Substation experience.
• T&D and/or Substation project experience REQUIRED.
• Experience with scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, project controls, or construction coordination.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• MS Project, Primavera P6, or Excel experience preferred.

A growing infrastructure consulting and project management organization is seeking an Assistant Project Manager – T&D / Substation to support major Transmission & Distribution (T&D) and Substation projects for utility clients. This is a great opportunity for an early-career project professional looking to grow into a long-term Project Management role within the utility infrastructure industry.

Responsibilities

• Support T&D and Substation projects from planning through closeout
• Assist with scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and project controls
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, utilities, and field teams
• Support construction, procurement, permitting, and field activities
• Track project milestones, costs, risks, and documentation
• Assist with project reporting and client communication

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management – REQUIRED
• 1–4 years of utility infrastructure, T&D, or Substation experience
• T&D and/or Substation project experience – REQUIRED
• Experience with scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, project controls, or construction coordination
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• MS Project, Primavera P6, or Excel experience preferred

Compensation & Benefits
