Job summary

Control Point Associates in Chalfont, PA is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join a dynamic surveying team. The role combines field leadership with office-based project coordination to deliver accurate surveys for construction, boundary, and 3D scanning projects.

You will oversee field crews, coordinate with CAD staff, and help manage project budgets and schedules under a project manager. Strong communication and a drive for results are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of surveying field experience with 2–3 years of management experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; SIT (Surveyor in Training) certification a plus.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related surveying software.
• Ability to manage tight deadlines and multitask while maintaining accuracy.
• Strong communication, diplomacy, and client-relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in training and management of survey field crews, CAD Drafters, Survey Technicians and support staff.
• Communicate effectively across all teams and business units.
• Assist in financial management of survey projects including contracts, billing, invoicing and collections.
• Perform boundary analyses and computations for ALTA, topographic, utility and roadway surveys using Civil 3D.
• Oversee construction stakeout services including field setup and QC of stakeout projects.
• Review survey documents, including plans and title commitments; peer-review deliverables.
• Support client meetings, calls and coordination; participate in business development activities.
• Prepare contracts and manage project workflow, staffing, and deadlines under PM supervision.
• Other duties as assigned.
