Job summary

David E. Looper & Company (DELCO) is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support planning, coordination, and execution of student housing and multifamily construction projects from preconstruction to closeout.

You will assist with documentation, cost tracking, scheduling, procurement, and communication with subcontractors and stakeholders to help deliver safe, on-time, within-budget projects ensuring DELCO quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of construction experience or internship preferred.
• Experience supporting student housing, multifamily, or large-scale wood-frame construction projects is preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager with daily project coordination and administrative responsibilities.
• Support management of project schedules, budgets, and cost tracking activities.
• Assist with subcontractor buyout, contract administration, and procurement activities.
• Manage and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Coordinate communication between field teams, subcontractors, design partners, and project stakeholders.
• Participate in project meetings and maintain meeting documentation.
• Support procurement activities, material tracking, and project logistics.
• Assist with project closeout activities including punch lists and final documentation.
• Maintain organized project records and ensure timely documentation flow.
• Proactively communicate potential schedule or cost impacts when identified.
