Join to apply for the Assistant Project Manager / Project Engineer - Water/Wastewater - RALEIGH/DURHAM role at Harper General Contractors.

Assist Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and other personnel in managing, scheduling, and purchasing for various types of construction projects. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Understanding, supporting, and adhering to Harper safety requirements; observing and correcting violations on project sites.
  • Planning work and purchasing materials with safety in mind.
  • Assisting Project Manager with daily project duties, expediting material procurement, approval, and delivery.
  • Preparing and tracking submittals, obtaining material certifications, and assisting with billing.
  • Ordering materials, maintaining project files, and assisting in change order documentation.
  • Analyzing costs for extra work and coordinating with subcontractors.
  • Building positive relationships with subcontractors and pursuing fair compensation for scope changes.

  • Support and adhere to safety and quality standards.
  • Correct violations and purchase materials safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with daily project duties, procurement, documentation, and cost analysis.
  • Coordinate with trade partners and manage project documentation.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Business, Computer Science).
  • At least three years of related experience preferred.
