Job summary

Intermountain Electric, Inc. (IME) is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing large-scale, schedule-driven electrical construction projects, including data centers and other complex infrastructure environments.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform due diligence and risk assessment to support project decisions.
• Proven integrity and ethical judgment when working with clients, partners and internal teams.
• Working knowledge of building construction methods, materials, systems and trade practices; familiarity with mission-critical infrastructure is preferred.
• Understanding of project scheduling concepts in complex construction environments.
• Excellent communication skills to clearly explain technical information to varied audiences.
• Willingness to travel frequently to construction sites to stay connected with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop schedule-driven project plans defining scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines with ingenuity.
• Coordinate resources with the Project Manager to align with milestones and optimize utilization.
• Assign tasks, set expectations, and support team members to keep work on schedule.
• Monitor project risks, resolve issues, and adjust plans while balancing flexibility, accountability, and judgment.
• Implement quality control procedures to ensure craftsmanship and excellence in construction activities.
• Support change management, maintain change logs, and coordinate documentation across field and office teams.
