Job summary

ColonialWebb in Richmond, VA seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support the execution of commercial plumbing, electrical, and special projects. You will coordinate communications between field teams, customers, vendors, and subcontractors, and assist in developing project schedules and milestones.

You will maintain logs for RFIs, submittals, and purchase orders, assist with procurement, track progress, and support project closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in construction/engineering field.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers with the execution of assigned projects.
• Coordinate project communications between field teams, customers, vendors, subcontractors, fabrication, detailing, and startup personnel.
• Assist in developing and communicating project schedules and milestones.
• Participate in project meetings and document action items and follow-up requirements.
• Develop and maintain RFI logs, submittal logs, purchase order logs, expediting logs.
• Closeout documentation and assist with procurement activities.
• Coordinate equipment releases and material deliveries.
• Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
