Job summary

Upgrade Resources in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support planning, execution, and oversight of commercial mechanical construction projects. You will assist the Project Manager, monitor budgets and schedules, and coordinate with general contractors, owners, vendors, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.

The role blends office-based administration with regular jobsite visits; you will support pre-job and post-construction planning, progress tracking,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field or a minimum of 2 years on commercial mechanical (HVAC) or plumbing projects.
• Experience with education, healthcare, industrial, data center, government, or office markets is a plus, with healthcare experience valued.
• Experience with project reviews, cost-to-complete meetings, financials, and project close-outs.
• Ability to read plans and specifications; construction aptitude as demonstrated.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in ensuring construction work aligns with design specifications, budget, and schedule.
• Review project plans and specifications, and help build and maintain project schedules.
• Complete job cost breakdowns and schedules of values, and review and approve subcontractor and vendor billings.
• Coordinate with general contractors, owners, vendors, and subcontractors on schedules, RFIs, and change orders.
• Order mechanical and plumbing materials to support project timelines.
• Attend pre-construction and post-construction meetings to support planning and closeout.
• Maintain strong customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor jobsite safety and model best safety practices at all times.
