Job summary

Our client, a Long Island City-based general contractor, seeks an assistant to a Project Manager for luxury residential renovations in NYC. Based in the LIC office, this role offers easier commute for Queens, Brooklyn, and Long Island residents.

You will support budgets, contracts, invoice approvals and scheduling, coordinate with subcontractors, maintain drawings and logs, chase insurance certificates, and assist with closeouts.

Qualifications

• Two or more years assisting on residential construction projects with a general contractor.
• Exposure to high-end or luxury residential finishes.
• Able to read construction drawings confidently.
• Organized, and persistent about follow-up.
• Degree in construction management or a related field preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager with budgets, contracts, invoice approvals and schedule updates.
• Coordinate among subcontractors and help resolve issues on site.
• Keep drawings, RFIs and submittal logs current.
• Chase subcontractor contracts and certificates of insurance before trades mobilize.
• Support the closeout process through punch list and owner handover.
