Responsibilities
  • Assist Project Manager and jobsite leadership in managerial and leadership functions on the project
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and controlling specific areas of the construction project and service jobs
  • Run project control systems for the benefit of the project team, including management of service calendar, RFI's, submittals, meeting minutes, and other site communication, as well as WBS system management with field leadership
  • Act as a project analyst to assess project controls information and assist jobsite leadership in problem solving and exploring alternative methods to achieve project success
  • Coordinate with estimating and assist with take-offs and other support for change order scope definition and pricing
  • Attend client meetings onsite and collaborate with trade contractors
  • Prepare information and documentation for service jobs
  • Work closely with logistics and purchasing team members in procurement and management of materials and subcontracts
  • Promote the Interstates safety culture daily
  • This position may also directly supervise and direct other project team members
Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to track and organize projects and prioritize work effectively
  • Open to continuously adjusting project systems to plan and deliver successfully
  • Strong team-building, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Comfortable speaking in front of clients, peers, and managers

Education: Bachelor's or associate's degree in electrical engineering/technology, Agriculture and Biosystems Engineering, Operations Management, or Construction Management

Travel: Able to travel to customer sites up to 50% of the time. This position is based out of our Sioux Center, IA or Sioux Falls, SD offices.
